Coach's Meeting

The NDC will be hosting a meeting for all coaches that will be part of the NDC staff. Attendance is a must as topics including safety, stroke mechanics and coaching strategies will be discussed.
The session will be jointly run by the Directors of the NDC. Location, date and time of the meeting will be posted soon.
Captain's Meeting

Location - Grenadier Cafe & Teahouse, High Park
The NDC, along with the TCBA, will be hosting a team captain and coaches meeting at the Grenadier Cafe in High Park. Attendance is a must to get last minute information on practices and race regulations
for the TIDBRF. The entrance to High Park is off Bloor St., just west of
Keele. The closest subway station is High Park on the Bloor/Danforth Line. For a map of the area, click here.
Steering Clinic
Date - tbd, mid-May
Location - Sunnyside Beach
Free training for those wishing to learn the basics of steering under ideal conditions. Each person attending will be in a dragon boat with approximately 10 other paddlers, and will take turns steering the dragon boat under the watchful eye of one of our experienced coaches.
Meet near the trailer around 12:30 - 12:45pm, at which time we will divide into groups. A brief explanation of the basic of steering, along with some safety pointers will follow. From about 1pm-2pm participants will rotate through the boat, steering for about 5 minutes each.
MEC Paddlefest
Date - Saturday June 14 and Sunday June 15
Location - Sunnyside Beach
The NDC is proud to once again offer our dragon boats to help make the MEC Paddlefest a success. Free training by fully qualified coaches in all types of watercraft: canoes, kayaks, outrigger, dragon boat.
This is an all day event both days. A great day for the entire family to come out and experience the waterfront.
TIDBRF
Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22
Long Pond, Toronto Centre Island
The largest dragon boat festival in North America, with cash prizes for the top teams! Each year this 2-day event attracts
